v2.29.0
v2.29.0: sales order pages, stricter documents, and a password rule
The sales order list shows 100 orders at a time. Documents accept JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, and PDF. A new password needs 8 characters, an uppercase letter, and a number.
The sales order list is paged. Document uploads accept a shorter list of file types. A new or changed password has one rule.
Shipped
The sales order list shows 100 orders per page, newest order date first. Previous and Next move between pages. Previous is off on the first page. Next turns off when the list is finished. The caption reads Showing 1-100 of 150, with your own numbers. Under it, Search and filters apply to this page. Search and filters cover the page you are looking at. Opening the list does not change an order.
On the older pick screen, finishing the last line marks the order picked. If a line is still open, the order stays in picking.
A document is accepted only as JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, or PDF. Word, Excel, and text files are refused. The file is checked by its contents, not only by its name. A PDF opens in the browser. CSV import still accepts a CSV, and that file is read rather than stored as a document. A product image is still JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WEBP.
A new password, or a password you change, needs 8 characters, one uppercase letter, and one number. The hint reads: At least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, and one number. The password you already use still signs you in. This release does not make you change it.
A temporary password is 16 characters and meets that rule. If the account must change its password, other screens stop until it does. The message is: Change your password to continue.
Google sign-in is tied to the browser that started it. If it cannot be checked, the message is: Google sign-in could not be verified. Start again. The website still shows Continue with Google. A shared handheld hides that button. The handheld app already installed still shows the button, and Google sign-in from that app does not finish until the next app update. Email and password on the handheld stay as they are.
Someone who is already signed in has their own request limit, 300 per minute. An office that shares one internet address no longer shares one limit. A failed sign-in is counted per account: 10 failures in 15 minutes, from any address. A sign-in that works is not counted in those 10. The message is: Too many failed attempts for this account, please try again later. One address can attempt sign-in 60 times a minute.
Confirming a shipment from the browser can send the Idempotency-Key header. The browser allows it.
A billing rule that belongs to another company cannot be edited. The response is that it was not found, and the rate is not shown. An inbound shipment from another company is not found when it is linked to a container.
On the public site, each era of The Count folds. The newest era starts open.
Known limits
Search on the sales order list covers the page on screen.
Word, Excel, and text files are not accepted as documents. A file already stored keeps the type it was stored with.
Passwords that already exist keep working.
QuickBooks Online sync is in a limited pilot.
Voiding an invoice here does not void a QuickBooks invoice that is already linked. That QuickBooks invoice stays open.
Ship Confirm does not create the invoice.
Stock is not moved from one warehouse to another.
Company Settings does not yet edit the document number format.
A scanner session that is already open stays open until it expires, including after a password change.
Point-in-time database recovery is not in this release. The deployment configuration change is not in this release.
